MR. BERRY
MULTIMEDIA/FASHION
Mr. C.J. Berry
Welcome to Multimedia and Fashion with Mr. Berry.
In my class your child is no longer a student but a scholar of education.
MY THEN AND NOW WITH DCS:
Not long after Discovery Charter School’s first location opened I began my employment teaching at DCS as an after school teacher specializing in fashion. In that class I taught DCS scholars how to sew for the yearly fashion show and I assisted the creative arts team with producing seasonal plays and productions.
Now, many years later I returned to the new location as a full time specialty teacher and the director of the school’s extended care program.
I am currently apart of the Home Economics Specialty Department where I teach Multimedia and Fashion. In my class your scholars will learn how to use computers properly and the importance of multimedia in todays modern world. All things ranging from graphic design to video production.
Your scholar will learn different aspects of fashion ranging from how to use modern technology to create textiles and patterns used in apparel to actually sewing and walking the runway in the clothes that they have collectively made.
ABOUT ME:
As a kid I loved many aspects of creativity, but as a young man I took after my father and I loved the art of sewing and creating clothes. I used to watch my father makes pants to match my mothers dresses for their dates. Since then I have loved making my own clothes.
I am a graduate of University of The Arts where I earned my B.A. in Graphic Design. After college I made a career out of modeling. I traveled abroad to walk in fashion shows and photoshoots for professional modeling campaigns. I will use all of my experience and influence to help your scholar accomplish learning in my class on a new level.
